This medium plum colored Cabernet is sourced from a vineyard North of upper Napa Valley, in the famed Knights Valley AVA in Sonoma County. This is a fine year for concentration for us in a year that was difficult for that. Aromatically, this is text book Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe plum and black cherry notes with a subtle back drop of herbaciousness. The core of the wine is very juicy and supple and has a nice medium bodied tannin profile, ideal for both current consumption with cellaring rewarding the caretaker with ultimate tannin resolution. Russian River Valley Chardonnay
100% Russian River Valley

Barrel fermented in a combination of new and seasoned French oak
This Russian River Chardonnay illustrates barrel fermentation even in its color, a light golden straw. While the wine was barrel fermented in both new and seasoned French oak, it is harmonious and integrated in its generous oak profile. Additionally, the wine was put through malo-lactic fermentation, but done so in a restrained fashion, allowing for a more balanced Chardonnay that actual pairs well with many food. The aromas are tropical with ripe mango and pineapple notes and backed with light vanilla. The palate is rich with citrus and peach flavors - followed by rich vanilla and crème brulee flavors. A burst of clove finishes with passion fruit and mandarin flavors.

Russian River Chardonnay
100% Russian River
100% Chardonnay
Aged 4 months in 1 and 2 year old French Oak
This Russian River Chardonnay is a real crowd pleaser. The color is a textbook medium straw. Aromatically, the wine is tropical with passion fruit, lychee and guava. The palate holds sweet, fresh Fuji apple flavors followed by baked apple cinnamon, caramel, citrus and passion fruit ripeness which finishes with juicy pineapple, peach nectar and honeysuckle notes. The Russian River is arguably the finest AVA for Chardonnay and this wine is an excellent example of why. It was barrel fermented in 100% French oak and aged sur lies for 4 months and has undergone partial malolactic fermentation (ML) to the tune of 30% — giving this wine a nice, round mid-palate and balance, avoiding the ulterior extreme of one-dimensional bitterness.
This wine is an undeniable 'go to' Chardonnay aperitif and all around wine. It is best consumed within 3 years; it should drink well through 2017.
Try this wine with fresh John Dory or similar whitefish and served over pureed parsnips and mashed potatoes, finished with a drizzle of truffle oil.

The color is a beautiful medium straw, shaded with a light mustard hues. The aromas that jump out of the glass are generous and range from baked apple and custard to tropical pineapple, banana and guava. Underneath these aromas lie spicy clove aromas wrapped in cream laced butterscotch. The palate is supple with sweet French oak notes of vanilla, cream, and almond paste - then folds into a fine fruit matrix with kiwi fruit. This wine finishes well with lemon lime, blood orange, and mango nectar but is embraced by a lavender-clover honey essence.
This is a very serious Chardonnay with fine acidity and a creamy finish, resulting primarily from cool climate mountain fruit. It is fabulous on its own as an aperitif at elegant parties but also accompanies a wide array of foods from Grilled swordfish or Salmon steaks served with a beurre blanc and served with freshly cut heirloom tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt. It can be served with pork loins, chops or venison and will pair with most vegetarian dishes.
This wine is a fine choice for everyday, but will cellar well through 2015. As it ages the flavors will bring out a light nuttiness you may find intriguing and lovely with aged Reggiano Parmigiano.

Russian River Chardonnay

100% Russian River
Aged 6 months in French Oak
This is a generous Chardonnay from one of the finest locations in California to grow Chardonnay; the Russian River. The color is slightly golden with a steely blue streak. The initial aromatics identify a rich Chardonnay with ripe Carmel coated apples and a buttery composition. Indeed on the palate this wine is super rich; replete with layers of sweet French oak and layers of complex tropical fruit intermingled with layers of butter and butterscotch. The fruit composition spans from tropical mango and passion fruit to spices from jasmine to clove.
This wine is really best as an aperitif or cocktail wine due to its richness and complexity. However, it would do well with a goat cheese tart with a fresh sun dried tomato paste and would do well with a Thai curry like Emerald green curry with Japanese eggplant. This Sauvignon Blanc is a crystal clear, white stone colored wine possessing intense gooseberry, wintergreen notes and clove scents. The entry of this wine bursts with fresh pink grapefruit and again gooseberry with bone dry acidity but gobs of fruit notes which also include ripe melon and sweet lemon flavors. Napa Valley Merlot
100% Napa Valley Merlot
Aged in French oak for 24 months.
The color of this serious Merlot is a deep ruby color with brick red edges. The aromas are of dark cherry cola notes, cassis and rhubarb notes. The palate expresses a bold style Merlot, in parts more Cabernet than Merlot (in that ripe cherry and tannins are in the forefront and carry astringency akin to pomegranate seed). The wine folds elegantly into a silky Margaux styled Merlot with medium tannins and French oak notes, finishing with finesse and concentrated dark berry notes.
Try it with a tomato bisque soup made with fresh heirloom tomatoes and garnished with a garlicky crouton or for the carniv-adventuous: baby lamb chops seared rare and topped with a Chimichurri sauce (and don't skimp on the sherry vinegar) served with soft polenta and stewed, sundried tomatoes with opal basil.

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
100% Russian River Valley AVA
Open Top Fermented and aged in French oak for 16 months.
This Pinot Noir is deep garnet colored and medium bodied which expresses bright cherry notes and is backed with clove and star anise notes. The palate carries through with fleshy cherry and spices and is deftly balanced with the acidity. The flavors are multi-layered with concentrated cherry including Bing, Rainer and Montmorancy and also has a slight earthy, leathery mouth feel which makes the overall wine very complex with good depth and length. The wine finishes soft with generous vanilla and mocha notes, which present themselves in a very supple and elegant fashion and will pair well with many dishes.
This wine was aged on French oak for 16 months and is sourced from both the Napa and Sonoma districts in the Russian River Valley.
This wine pairs well with mushroom raviolis in a truffle cream sauce or beet salads with goat cheese and roasted almonds and sea salt. But a fine Pinot in a nice wine glass rivals a fine three coarse meal; then again a great choice with almost any food.
